If comedy is your thing, or heckling comics for that matter, looks like the Angelika Film Center will have Hyena’s Comedy Club as a neighbor. And remember folks, laughter is far nicer a sound than crying, unless you’re a snorter like me. You’re just gonna have to trust me on this one, people.

If you’re a fashionista on a budget, local designer Oscar Fierro is moving in between Café Express and Ann Taylor Loft. Though the store will feature couture and gown collections, his Go-To collection promises “sophisticated, yet clean and sexy” items which will all retail for under $30.

Are you eco- conscious? Do you have teeth? PURE Dental – Dallas’ first modern, eco-friendly dental office – will open their doors in mid-February. PURE’s concept, the brainchild of Dr. Brody Hildebrand, features patient-centric practices, green products and services, flexible hours and affordable dental care. There will also be an organic snack bar, and who doesn’t like snacks!

Do you like to mangia? German-based Italian restaurant Vapiano will open the first of their Texas restaurants sometime in April. Area developer and franchisee, Tim McCallum says Vaipano will be an, “upscale restaurant and dining experience at a fair and reasonable price, especially compared to typical restaurants in the Dallas area.”

Do you have a need to shop for one-of-a-kind collegiate wear? Student Body should be moving into their permanent digs soon. Once the 9,000sqft building is complete, it will house five separate shops which will initially only feature items from University of Oklahoma, Texas Tech, University of Texas, Texas A&M and Southern Methodist, though the store has plans to incorporate additional Big 12 schools.

So, whether you want to cat-call comics, dress divinely, tend teeth, chomp carbonara or strut school stuff, Mockingbird Station may prove to be the place for you.
