Rangers Fans Blow Up San Francisco Bar’s Phone

2

San Francisco’s Lefty O’Doul’s is located directly across the street from the Westin St. Francis Hotel in Union Square and when word got out that the Rangers were going to be staying there, things got a little ugly, reports the San Francisco Examiner:

The hotel the Texas Rangers stay in while they are in town for the World Series might end up being a noisy place.

The team is reportedly staying in the Westin St. Francis Hotel in Union Square. Nick Bovis, the owner of Lefty O’Doul’s — the restaurant and lounge located across the street from the St. Francis — said he is being pressured to put a trumpeter outside his eatery to keep the team awake at night.

“It’s a really good idea,” Bovis said, jokingly.

Well, turns out a trumpeter did indeed show up…and so did a lot of long distance Rangers fans apparently:

I’m not sure how safe the trumpeter will be with that many Ranger fans in town. GO RANGERS!
