You Austinites are so dang lucky. You’ve got the Soup Peddler delivering nomalicious soups, entrees, side and desserts and now you have Bona Dea Bread to deliver challah, sourdough and regional European breads to your very neighborhood.
Here’s how it works:
1. Place your order online with Bona Dea Bread by 7 p.m. on Tuesdays.
2. Designate your neighborhood by choosing between A to Z, otherwise known as Allandale, Bouldin, Cherrywood, Clarksville, East Austin, Rosedale, THES, Travis Heights, West Lake and Zilker.
3. Depending on the neighborhood, your bread is delivered on either Thursday or Friday.
4. Pick up your bready goodness between 3 p.m. and 7 p.m.
What’s really awesome is that all of the neighborhood pick-up spots are homes! That’s right, people in the Austin community have volunteered their homes to act as your local, neighborhood bakery!
Prices on Bona Dea breads range from $3.00 to $5.50, the later being their scrumptious challah, which I might add makes for awesome bread on a meatloaf sammich!
Bona Dea owner Lauren Hubele sums it up best, “Know that you are buying much more than a loaf of bread, you are choosing a product that is filled with the joy of baking and the love of sharing food with others. It would be my hope you have an opportunity to share your loaf with others passing along all that goodness.”
So what are you waiting for? Get fresh bread, lovingly baked and delivered to your neighborhood! Order here today!
Special note to the Soup Peddler’s David Ansel and Bona Dea’s Lauren Hubele: You two should totally partner up!
